The profit rate assumes 10 kills per hour in 5 man. Your actual profits may be higher or lower depending on your actual kc/hour, your group size and luck.
5-man is a very common group size for killing the Nightmare, however smaller group sizes are possible and will achieve similar profit, as although the kills per hour will be lower, the chance of an individual party member receiving a drop is greater. All profit from The Nightmare comes from the unique drops, whereby the staff, mace and armour table has a 1/120 chance to roll per kill, and the orb table a 1/600 chance per kill. When either of these tables are rolled, a random party member is chosen to receive the drop, weighted by the total damage dealt by each party member.
The chance of receiving a drop from either of these tables per kill is 1%, or 0.75% excluding the Nightmare Staff
